Striker

Striker is a 3 year old husky cross. He is a large boy at 85 pounds but pure love bug. He really just wants to be near people. He gets along with all female dogs but lived with a strong Alpha male in past and he took some abuse from him so he's leary of other male dogs. He has not lived with cats. Striker does mouth a bit too hard during play so suggest no small children. He's still learning. He's loving all the attention these days and learning how nice it is to let his guard down. He's playing with toys and not worrying where his next meal is coming from. This fella would make an amazing sidekick for someone. He doesn't need another dog in the home. Just one person he can trust. He has decent recall but needs some work on leash skills. Loves car rides and rests his head on driver's shoulder from back seat. Just wants to be close.  He's a gentle giant. Neutered and vaccinated. 

Ace has been with us since December, He's an owner surrender along with 10 others from the same home. He was the alpha, a big responsibility, but now that he's been relieved of his duties we've seen a big difference. 

He loves love. He enjoys a giggle ball toy, catching tennis balls, and burying toys in the dirt. Loves snuggles. 

Neutered and vaccinated husky cross. Decent recall. Loves walks and car rides. 

Only pet in the home would be best for him. Not destructive, fully house trained.

Ziggy comes all the way from North Spirit Lake following the devastating Ontario wildfires. Despite her hardships, she's the sweetest and most gentle soul. She's been a great mom to her 9 pups.  Approx. 2 years old. 

Dog friendly, not tested with cats. Not a bad bone in her body. Friendly to everybody.

Will be spayed and vaccinated before adoption.  She loves chasing squirrels and being outdoors. Hoping for a home with children as she adores kids. A fenced yard so she can continue the hunt or a rural property. Currently being fostered near Parry Sound. .

Flurry is such a poser. She will be ready for her new home after Thanksgiving. Not sure of her breed but mom is 46 pounds. Dad unknown. Typical happy little pup. Will be up to date on vaccines. Located in McKellar near Parry Sound. 

Smokey was owned and very loved by a gentleman who, due to very unfortunate life events, led to him living in his car. This man reached out to us through tears on a hot day in August explaining his situation. He started a new job in 2 days but has has no place for his dog to go while he's at work. He needs to work and sure can't leave him in car. We were very lucky to find an amazing foster family who took Smokey in. He's been neutered and vaccinated. Been getting along great with resident dog. He's gentle with toddler but he may knock her over inadvertently. He loves people. Prefers to have people nearby most of the time.  Met a cat and was quite interested but not in a prey like way but not fully tested. Smokey is a very affectionate 2 year old bully cross. We are hoping for a permanent home for him or at minimum a foster home. Current work obligations are taking foster away so Smokey needs to move. Please share in order to find his people. This boy is so deserving. Fully housetrained but could use some leash skills. Located near Parry Sound.

Sadly sweet Tia is in need of a new home. This almost 6 year old lover would do great with an outdoorsy family. She loves to be outside and sunbathe, long country walks (walks well on a leash) with her people and gives slobbery kisses readily. Loves her naps and her food. Not much into toys but enjoys a good bone. She has lived her entire life in same home with a child and has been great. Gets along with select dogs so best suited as only dog in home.  Ignores resident cat. Tia is a very pretty Cane Corso/bully cross. She is located in Burk's Falls. Will have her spayed and fully vaccinated before adoption is finalized. 

ZigZag is a very sweet little boy who loves love. He really enjoys playing and running with his littermates and foster sister.  ZigZag loves children and other dogs and is crate trained. Shepherd, husky cross is our best guess. He d love a home with other pets and children. Located near Parry Sound. Zig has a heart murmur and will require an echocardiogram once he's older to determine if it's improved or requires medication. He's up to date on vaccines and health checked.

 Bella needs a home. She came to us with 8 wee puppies. She's a stray from a remote northern community. Her pups are flying the coup and its her time for to find her own family. She's so deserving. At first she had bald spots from hair loss due to poor nutrition. She looking so much better and feeling great too. This girl really craves attention. She's the gentlest soul. Gets along with all dogs. Gentle with children and great with people. Not cat tested.  Our guess is lab cross. We have seen absolutely no aggression...other than when she goes into mommy mode when strange dogs get near her pups. She's about 2. She will be spayed and vaccinated before adoption is finalized. Located in McKellar.
